How long have you been in business?
I started working in the painting and decorating industry when I was 12 with my Dad in his company. It was 16 years ago that I specialized and ever since have only been doing decorative finishes.
What is your primary product or service?
Venetian plasters and metallic plasters, also stenciling, marbling, woodgraining, muraling, and all types of woodwork etc. If it has anything to do with an artistic finish we do it.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was interested in doing decorative finishes back in trade school in the late 80's in Alberta Canada.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I have a broad, and ever increasing portfolio. I consistently update my finishes and do my best to stay on top of the latest products and techniques. If there is anything artsy about your project I can help with it. From a design or concept right on through to the completion of your project, and any and everything in between.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Due to the nature of my business my customers expect me on the job. There aren't too many finishes that I can "hire out", or have a crew do them.
Provide detailed directions to your location
my work is almost exclusively done in my customers own homes or businesses. For Consultations I prefer to meet with clients at the project.
What type of payments do you accept?
Typically cash or checks. I rarely get asked about credit cards so I have never had or felt the need to accept them as a form of payment.
Which areas do you service?
International
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Andreas Scholz manages the company. (ultimately it is God who owns it - I'm the guy trying to be a good steward/manager)
What are your hours of operation?
Usually on the job around 9AM and work until I have to - sometimes that means into the evening.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
"Andreas's work is beautiful."
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
Proverbs 3:5 & 6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
