How long have you been in business?
Hill Hiker, Inc. has been in business since 1997.
What is your primary product or service?
Hill Hiker, Inc. manufactures residential, commercial and industrial inclined elevators for outdoor use.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Bill MacLachlan, owner of Hill Hiker, Inc., became interested in inclined elevators in the early 1990s when he became the National Sales Manager for a small elevator company who had a line of residential inclined elevators. During this time Bill traveled the country making contacts, learning the National Elevator Safety Standards, and being educated on a wide variety of styles of inclined elevators.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Hill Hiker, Inc. differentiates itself by concentrating on safety, design and reliability. Our product is engineered to meet or exceed the National Elevator Standard - ASME A17.1. Our equipment is designed to be aesthetically pleasing, user friendly and built to withstand the test of time.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have two locations: one for sales and administration and the other for manufacturing. We sell to local, national and international markets while doing all of our manufacturing here in Minnesota.

Our operating hours are typically Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.

The best compliment we can receive as a company is that our customers are very satisfied with their experience working with us and would recommend or use our product again in the future.
