I became involved in arts based learning for business when asked by executives at Lucent Technologies to develop a program for leadership that used the jazz ensemble as a model of innovation and collaborative teamwork.
I've had a varied professional background. I was VP of operations for a financial services company for 4 years, a site manager for commercial construction companies I also hold a PhD in Jazz and have spent many =years researching and teching

Arts based learning and particularly jazz is a highly effective way to help people articulate all of the intangible skills and competencies that innovation demands. Business people must think as creatively as artists in order to survive.
