How long have you been in business?
Shepherd's Care was established in 1989 to serve preschool age children. Beginning in January 2010, the program was expanded to include infants and toddlers as well.
What is your primary product or service?
We offer a Christian child care that will meet your child's spiritual, academic and social learning needs.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have worked in child care for over 20 years and have a BA in Organizational Management from Ashford University. As a member of Shepherd of the Grove Lutheran Church, I have a vested interest in the quality of this program.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Shepherd's Care offers your child learning experiences in a Christian setting. We focus on the family and desire to work together with you in helping your child grow. Our center staff are friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Expect to feel at home and comfortable during your visit.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Shepherd's Care has only one location. Our business has recently expanded its program to include infants and toddlers in addition to preschool age children through a building program. Our newly constructed facility was designed to be a child care center and offers child sized facilities designed to encourage competence in your child.
Provide detailed directions to your location
From the north: Take Hemlock Lane (Hwy 61) exit off of 694. Go south approximately 1/2 mile. We are located on the left side of the street in Shepherd of the Grove Lutheran Church, directly across the street from Cedar Island Elementary School. Entrance to the parking lot is off of West Eagle Lake Drive. From the south: Take Hemlock Lane north to the second intersection of West Eagle Lake Drive and Hemlock. Turn right at the stop light and parking lot is on your right.
What type of payments do you accept?
Shepherd's Care accepts checks, money orders, and cash as payment.
Which areas do you service?
Shepherd's Care serves children of parents who live, work or commute through Maple Grove. Our center parking lot also serves as a park and ride for the Maple Grove Transit.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Shepherd's Care is a ministry of Shepherd of the Grove Lutheran Church. We are fully owned and operated by the church.
What are your hours of operation?
Shepherd's Care is open five days a week, 6:30 AM to 6:00 pm. We are closed 10 standard holidays throughout the year.
